In January, 1987, Colour Sergeant Michael Watson of the Carnoustie Black Watch detachment of the Army Cadet Force, attended a ceremony at Brechin Castle where he was presented with the Lord Lieutenant's Cadet Certificate by the Earl of Dalhousie, Lord Lieutenant of Angus.
