Consultation open on future of former Forfar leisure centre
Elected members decided at a full Angus Council meeting last month to formally consult the public on demolishing the centre and restoring the land on which it sits to parkland.
The consultation (https://bit.ly/3omBL1J) opened on Friday October 1 and will run until Friday, November 26.

Hide AdThis follows an initial public consultation, started last December, which sought views on the future of the building and land. The informal process has served to inform the council for this statutory consultation.
The building has been surplus to requirements following the development and opening of the Forfar Community Campus in 2017.
The council has said that despite some interest in the building and its associated land, no-one has come forward with a competent or viable plan that would secure its future. I t is still possible that such a bid could come forward during the consultation, however, and would be considered.
