Tourism businesses from across Angus will be showcasing what the region has to offer at this year’s VisitScotland travel trade show.
VisitScotland Regional Director Jim Clarkson said: “As Scotland welcomes the world this year, with the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Ryder Cup and the second Year of Homecoming, VisitScotland expo will be the perfect opportunity for exhibitors from Dundee & Angus to showcase their products and services to potential buyers from around the globe.”
VisitAngus, Angus Birdtours, Carnoustie Country, V&A at Dundee and Forbes of Kingennie will all be represented at expo, along with a number of other Dundee & Angus-based tourism businesses.
VisitScotland has also organised a series of “familiarisation trips”. These excursions will allow tour operators to experience the holidays they could provide their customers.
The familiarisation trips will see over 70 operators visit Dundee and Angus, from countries including Canada, Germany and France. The itineraries visit attractions and locations including Arbroath’s Tartan Day Festival, the official launch of the Arbroath Smokie Trail, Discovery Point, Glamis Castle, House of Dun, Montrose.
