This picture was taken from the bridge over Fort Street in 1993 and shows the rear of what had been the General Post Office in Broughty Ferry.
The picture was warranted by the fact that leave had been given to develop the building into a bar, a role it fulfils to this day.
The Post Office lies on Queen Street and was built by W.T. Oldrieve on the direction of HM Office of Works between 1907 and 1908, it is in the English Baroque style.
