£1,000 of Christmas gifts for kids

Tesco in Monifieth got into the festive spirit last week when they made a donation of Christmas gifts for under-privileged children in the local area - all of which were purchased by their generous customers. The store had a gift tree up the store for approximately a month. Patrons could remove a tag and buy a gift for the age group on the tag. C

laire Thomson, personnel manager at the store, said: “We had a brilliant response and are so pleased to be helping support Dundee and Angus children who would, otherwise receive no gifts on Christmas morning. We estimate to have donated £1,000 worth of gifts to children from birth to 18 years.”
