An Arbroath based dance school has been awarded £70,000 from the Scottish Government’s Enterprise Ready Fund.
Showcase the Street, which operates in locations throughout Tayside and Angus, is one of 67 enterprising third sector organisations which has received a share of £2.3 million.
News of the five-figure award has been warmly welcomed by Angus South MSP, Graeme Dey, who said: “This is wonderful news and I pass on my sincere best wishes to all those involved at Showcase the Street.
“It is so important that third sector organisations such as ‘Showcase’ are recognised and have access to support as they play such an important role in communities across Scotland.
“That is why I am pleased that thanks to the Enterprise Ready Fund, the Scottish Government is able to provide direct financial assistance to help maintain, develop and grow our enterprising third sector.”
The £6 million Enterprise Ready Fund, which opened to applications in September, builds on a number of current initiatives the Scottish Government has in place to continue to support a sustainable, capable and enterprising third sector.
