THE COMPANY Section of the 1st Carnoustie Boys' Brigade held its annual awards evening on Friday night with parents present.
The inspecting officer was Inspector John Tasker, who is in charge of policing in Carnoustie and Monifieth. The Reverend Mike Goss conducted the opening service.

The boys, all aged between 11 and 17, put on several different displays. In particular the older boys performed a short play demonstrating what they had learned throughout the year at their camping and expedition classes.
The Company was awarded £4,800 earlier this year from Awards For All to purchase a full range of camping equipment and navigation aids to take the boys away camping.
This coming weekend, the boys will us their equipment in earnest for the first time when they undertake an overnight camp in the Sidlaws.
Mr Brian Knight, Officer in Charge of the Company Section, announced the yearly awards as follows: Macrae Trophy for Best Overall Boy – Lance Corporal Scott Lorimer, Best Senior Boy – Sergeant Jason Craib, Company Scroll for Best Intermediate Boy – Private Calum Duncan, Mary Bushnell trophy for Best Recruit – Private Craig Knight, Squad Medal for best overall squad – Sergeant Christopher Ferrier, David Bridges trophy for Best Footballer – Lance Corporal Scott Lorimer.
Sergeant Lewis Morrison and Private Calum Duncan were also presented with an award for perfect attendance.
Further awards were presented to Private Jamie Scorgie, who won the Battalion Junior Table Tennis Championships and Sergeant Lewis Morrison who came first in the Battalion Seniors Cross Country Race and third in the National Seniors Cross Country Final.
