PRIMARY seven pupils from Burnside Primary have staged a tremendous production of the show 'Bully' by Jo Sands and Ruth Kenward.
The lead role of Kim was played superbly by Louise Nicoll. Everyone wants to be in Kim's gang and they have to do a dare to get in. Ellie (Molly Gunn) is the newest recruit and she takes a mobile 'phone from an unsuspecting young passer-by, Jake (pla
yed by Michael Mitchell).

Kim's gang (Ashley Herd, Rosie Findlay, Sarah Tindal, Rowan Sturrock and Cara Dunbar) are a formidable bunch.

When Kim's young brother, Danny, (Ryan Elrick) goes missing while helping Jake to run away from the bullies, Kim gets her gang to help to find him. When Jake is found and tells Danny that it's his sisters' gang who is bullying him, Danny is ashamed that his sister is a bully. Bullies are often victims themselves and understanding and tolerance is the moral of the story.

Mrs Preston, the head teacher said after the performance: "The children have worked so hard over the past few weeks putting the show together and it has been a challenge getting them to behave as bullies as it was so out of character."

She thanked Mrs Goodwin, Miss Johnston and Mrs Reeve for all their hard work.
