A PARTY, to celebrate 50 years as one of the leading charity retailers on the high street was held at the Broughty Ferry branch of Sue Ryder Care on Saturday.
The event was also way of saying' thank you' to local communities for their support over the years.

Staff and volunteers welcomed customers to the Brook Street shop to join in the festivities which included drinks, nibbles and cake as well as the
chance to win in the tombola.

Margaret Hendry, shop manager said: "Our golden anniversary celebrations are our way to say thank you to all the people who have supported us over the years.

"By supporting our shop – whether that is through donating and gift aiding unwanted items, shopping with us or volunteering - people can help us make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of people we care for each year. I hope as many people as possible join in with our golden celebrations and help us help more."

A similar party will be held at the charity's Carnoustie branch between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday.

At the celebration are, from left - Margaret Hendry, manager, Frances Hood, Joan MacLean, Bettie Logie and Isabel Scott.
