Cash for Kids has been adopted as the town hotel's charity this year and the beer festival is the first of a trio of events to raise cash for the fund.
The Kinloch already runs a successful festival every summer, but decided to put on a smaller
event - its 'Little Brother', for two reasons.
Proprietor Jonathan McInally explained: "We wanted to do something for the charity and also to put an event on in the town.
"It will be smaller than our main summer event with only a portion of the car park being used, fewer beers available and just seven bands."
And the focus of the event is different with continental lagers and beers taking centre stage.
Belgian beer, German lager, English cider, fruit beer and Cairn O' Mohr wine will all be available at the two-day event on March 27 and 28.

Jonathan McInally, of the Kinloch Arms Hotel, in Carnoustie was promoting the the continental themed 'Springfest' to be held at the end of the month.
Five local bands have been confirmed to appear; Aff the Cuff, Make Sparks, Tonka, Headroom and Gav Hedge, with two more to be announced shortly.
Home-made stovies will be available and all cash raised from the sale of these will go straight to Cash for Kids.
The second event in aid of the charity is a Scots Night in April, with the third fund-raiser still to be announced.
Jonathan added: "We wanted to do some charity fund-raising this year and when I heard about Cash for Kids and the great work they do I thought it would be worthwhile to give the money to them.
"I wasn't aware that there are so many under-privileged children in Angus and the money raised will go to a fantastic cause."
The beer festival is from 12.30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, with music until midnight. The following day is from 12.30 to 8 p.m., with music until 10 p.m.
Entry is free so make your way along to the Kinloch Arms Hotel and help to raise some Cash for Kids.
