FOLLOWING the suspicious death of a 63-year-old woman in her home in Panbride Road in Carnoustie yesterday (Sunday), detectives are carrying out a number of searches in the area.
Detective Inspector Ali Waghorn, the senior investigating officer, said:
"In order to eliminate some items from our enquiries we need members of the public who used the local authority skips in Carnoustie's Braehead Drive between 12 noon on Saturday, February 6, and 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, to get in touch.

"Anyone who dumped items in the skips between these times should get in touch with us on 0300 111 2222."

A 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with her death and appeared at Arbroath Sheriff Court today.
