OVER 40 keen participants from as far afield as Aberdeen and Livingston as well as more locally, Carnoustie, Arbroath and Inverkeilor, gathered on Saturday to take part in a sponsored Treasure Hunt through Carnoustie to raise funds for a Presbytery of Angus workcamp trip to Bangladesh.

The teams were guided from Newton Panbride Church, Arbroath Road, to the Philip Hall by looking for clues and finding answers to questions on a treasure hunt.

Once everyone had reached their destination, they had the opportunity to taste some home made vegetable curry while the answers were checked.

Two teams, 'The Scott's of Barry' and 'Hamish's Parents came' joint first with everyone else having very close results.

A great time was had by all and the money raised so far is £669 with more sponsor money still to be collected.
