And Wilma Stormont, High Street, Carnoustie, was honoured for her service at a ceremony held at Birkhill Primary School on Wednesday.
In all, Mrs Stormont, a cook in charge, has worked in local school kitchens for 27 years.

She began her career at Dundee's Craigie High School in 1982 and moved to Monifieth High School in 1989. Mrs Stormont spent 10 years at Monifieth before taking up her current position at Birkhill, near Dundee.

A former pupil of the Lower Academy, Forfar, and Forfar Academy, she continued her education at Craibstone Agricultural College in Aberdeen.
Married to Neil, she has two sons, Brian and Derek. There are three grand-children, Jamie, Cari and Luke.

Mrs Stormont says she plans to take it easy in her retirement initially, but is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, in particular her three grand-children.
