Going by what has already been arranged the 12th annual Angus Accordion and Fiddle Festival promises to be another great event attracting aficionados from all over.

The festival will be held in Arbroath over the weekend of July 4, 5 and 6, with a host of Scottish traditional music themed events to enjoy.

The concert and dance in the clubrooms of the Royal British Legion Scotland has sold out, but there are still a few tickets available for the event at the Meadowbank Inn.

Artists appearing at the Meadowbank include the Scottish dance bands of Scott Band; the Lomond Ceilidh Band, the Scott Carnegie Duo; Steven Carcary’s Accordion School and Scotland’s Son Of Fun, Eddie Rose.

On the Saturday and Sunday mornings a dance workshop will be held in the Community Centre under the expert tuition of John Caskie from Dumfries with Scott Band providing the music.

Selected pubs will host visiting bands during the Saturday and Sunday afternoons to provide a feast of the best of Scottish Dance Music.

The Grand Dance will again be held in the Community Centre with five of the top Scottish Bands providing the music for over 30 various dances with something to suit everyone.

The Sunday Stramash Ceilidh in the Community Centre will bring to a close the weekends festivities.
