Local men, women and children whose lives have been touched by cancer are being invited to play a key role in Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life. The charity is calling on people who have survived the disease, and others who are currently under-going treatment, to join the emotional and inspirational ‘Lap of Honour’ which marks the start of the overnight fundraising festival. Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life is a unique celebration of life and hope. It’s a fantastic family event which unites communities to help beat over 200 types of cancer.

Teams of eight or more people take part in the event, which is being held at Arbroath Cricket Club over the weekend of September 19-20.

Teams are already busy fund-raising towards this year’s total through a wide range of activities from coffee mornings, supermarket bag-packs, jumble sales, race nights and a whole range of fun nights out.
