Angus Council is in the process of making preparations for the re-opening of the bug hit pool at Arbroath Sports Centre.
This afternoon (Thursday) the authority issued a statement regarding the pool which has been closed to the public for over three weeks following the discovery of the cryptosporidium bacteria.
The statement said: “We are pleased to inform you that the preparation for the pool to be retested for Cryptosporidium are now complete.
“This includes the pool being inspected and given the all clear by an independent expert.
“A test has now being requested and providing the results come back clear we will be in a position to open the pool.
“A further update confirming timescales will be issued as soon as possible.”
