TSB Arbroath will be hosting a ‘Hike it or Bike it’ fundraiser this week to celebrate its new Local Charity Partnership with Angus Athletics Arena.

The Commerce Street branch has partnered with the campaign, which aims to raise funds to facilitate an all weather track in Arbroath that can be used by clubs throughout Angus, and is hosting a fundraising event this week to kick-start the partnership.

The event started on Monday when TSB Partners participated in a sponsored cycle, with a difference. TSB Branch partners will be cycling on an exercise bike in the branch daily throughout the week, hoping to raise funds for their new Local Charity Partner, Angus Athletics Arena.

Richard Blyth, Bank Manager at TSB Arbroath, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Angus Athletics Arena as our Local Charity Partner for 2016/17. The charity aims to help people of all ages and abilities by providing a safe environment for training in all weathers.”

A spokesperson for Angus Athletics Arena campaign said: “We are really grateful to TSB Arbroath for picking us as their charity of the year. Hopefully it should be a great partnership and a good opportunity for us, and every little bit counts!”

Each year TSB branches select a local cause to support and they go on to host numerous fundraisers for that cause and in the case of the Angus Athletics Arena will also help raise awareness of their campaign by stocking information leaflets about the project. it may even be possible for TSB Arbroath to extend their support for a further year if a good working relationship is established.
