Ahoy me hearties! Christmas is coming to the good ship Abbey Theatre and with it a panto of piratical pandemonium!
From tomorrow (Saturday) ‘Pirates... The Panto’ will be setting the mainsail and swabbing the decks this festive season as part of the 50th anniversary season of the Abbey Theatre Club.
There will be lots of questions asked and answered before all is shipshape and Bristol fashion as the Abbey crew do what they do best at panto time, utter comedy chaos.
Will the evil Captain Blackheart be defeated?
Will the outrageous dame Postie Pat win the day?
Will Jack find Jill and will old hands Bessie and Jessie come out of retirement?
With tonnes of treasure and lashings of laughs the only question that remains... Will you walk the plank to the Abbey?
And rumour has it down at the harbour that if you come dressed as a pirate (eye-patches are mandatory!) you might just be press ganged into joining the crew!
‘Pirates... The Panto’ written and produced by Alan Christison runs from tomorrow (Saturday) until Saturday, December 20, at 7.30 p.m., with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are available now by calling VisitScotland on 01241 872609.
