A brave Carnoustie lad was brushing shoulders with Royalty last night (Monday) at a star-studded awards ceremony in London.
Five-year-old Ollie Holt was one of the prizewinners at the 2015 WellChild Awards in recognition of his unfailing spirit in the face of serious illness.
Always cheerful, Ollie never lets his condition get him down, despite how tired or unwell he feels, he always has a smile and a thumbs up.
Emma, Ollie’s mother, said: “The whole family are so proud of the way Ollie has coped with even the greatest challenges. He’s been so brave throughout. He was smiling as he went into surgery and the first thing he did on waking up in intensive care was to give us a huge grin.”
His Royal Highness Prince Harry is Royal Patron of the WellChild Awards and met with Ollie and Emma during the evening.
Our picture shows the three of them together.
