MONIFIETH Parish Church is once again running a bake and book stall every Saturday during June, July and August in front of the former South Church halls, High Street.
However, the organiser, Malcolm Bell, has intimated that many more volunteers are required to staff and set up the stalls and make the pancakes.
He told the Guide & Gazette: “This is always great fun and is a terrific way to get to know the other people in our church family. No experience of anything is required, just come along and you can help.
“Please contact Lesley McFarlane on 01382 534960, or Doris Rough, on 01382 533235, to let us know when you can manage and to get the low-down on what happens. All are more than welcome, both male and female, for mornings of fun, frivolity, and fund-raising.”
He continued: “As in previous years, the hall will be open on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for donations of bric-a-brac and any saleable items and on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. for donations of home baking and perishable goods.
“Donations of sugar, tins of marmalade, etc., can be made at these times or at the church door any Sunday.”
