AT THE meeting of Barry Church Guild in Barry Church hall on Thursday, Miss Annie Thompson welcomed members.
Mr John Irvine then took the guild on a nostalgic trip of Dundee in the 1950s.
Miss Thompson proposed the vote of thanks.
The next meeting will be an open meeting on Thursday, October 18, at 2 p.m., when Mr Joe Wishart will talk about the mud house at Logie Village.
All are welcome.
CARNOUSTIE Tangent held their monthly meeting on Monday in the Station Hotel.
Chairman Fiona Leslie opened the meeting welcoming guest speaker, local artist Jim Dunbar.
Mr Dunbar is currently working on a series of paintings for a solo exhibition in the Meffan Art Gallery, Forfar, for next year.
His talk included showing some of his new paintings based on scenes around Carnoustie.
After an informed and interesting evening, vice-chairman Sheena Laurie gave the vote of thanks.
MEMBERS of Muirdrum WRI were welcomed by president Annetta Anderson to their meeting in the Erskine Church on Tuesday.
She introduced the guest speaker, Maureen Bremner, who demonstrated floral arrangements using autumn foliage and flowers.
She also gave advice on how to make simple Christmas table decorations.
