Beavers head into the hills

Carnoustie Beavers spent the weekend hill walking in the Cairngorms National Park as part of their Bronze Chief Scout Challenge Award.

The boys were based at the Scott Lodge in Glen Clova.

The Beavers hiked all the way up Glen Doll to reach the Corrie Fee Nature Reserve. They then hiked along the base of the corrie and climbed the edge beside the Corrie Water waterfall.

The boys had a fantastic day in spite of dreich weather, the ranger of the Glen Doll lodge gave a talk on the wildlife of the glen along with a video of the animals caught on CCTV.
