THE EASTER Sunday duck races at Barry Mill were once again were a huge success.
This annual tradition saw nearly 600 people come to the mill with picnics and Easter eggs to roll.
A total of 30 duck races were run, with lots of happy winners. In addition to the races, there was an Easter bonnet competition, won by Helena aged five. The egg decorating contest was won by Cameron who did a fabulous take on the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
The Friends of Barry Mill provided teas and coffee, as well as helping to ‘herd’ the ducks down the Barry Burn.
Peter Ellis, the miller, noted that this was a very good start to the season and thanked everyone for making it a successful day.
