The body of a man was recovered from Arbroath beach yesterday (Sunday).

The discovery was made in the early evening at Arbroath foreshore and Police Scotland officers attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland attended at the beach near South Street, Arbroath at about 5.55pm on Sunday, August 21, in connection with the death of a 40-year-old man, there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
