Sales from a bouquet of flowers now available in local Tesco stores will help to raise much-needed funds for diabetes research in the UK.

The company will donate 50p from each of the bouquets, which includes orange roses and gerberas, pink carnations, purple statice and white chrysanthemums, to their national charity partner, Diabetes UK.

The donations will contribute to the £10 million fund-raising target that Tesco staff across the country are aiming to reach for Diabetes UK.

Susan Locke, mixed bouquet buyer at Tesco said: “We are delighted to be supporting Diabetes UK through the sale of these flowers. The bouquet includes a beautiful mix of flowers and could be a perfect gift to brighten up someone’s day.”

The money raised from the charity bouquet will help support some of the three million people in the UK living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and help find a further 850,000 more who remain undiagnosed with Type 2.

The £10 bouquet is available in Tesco stores throughout the UK and will be available throughout the charity partnership.
