Budget underspend

ANGUS Council’s social work and health’s amended budget for 2010/11 shows an underspend of £19,000, only 0.03 per cent of the total budget of £67,051,000.

The budget covers spending on a wide range of services including those for children; people with mental health problems, homeless people, older people, people who have physical and learning disabilities and people who use criminal justice services.

There was a net overspend in some other areas, including learning disabilities and older people’s services and there has been a significant increase in demand for services for people with learning disabilities.
