A selection of top business events have been organised to inspire business owners at the inaugural Angus Business Week this autumn. The programme of events is organised by Business Gateway Tayside - which will run across Angus from September 29 to October 4 - will focus on starting up, developing and growing a business. The free workshops offered by Business Gateway includes:

Maximising the Potential of Your Workforce, September 30, Arbroath - This event will provide you with an opportunity to find out what skills and funding support is available, as well as expert help on how to recruit, retain and develop employees. Skills Development Scotland’s employer engagement adviser and Business Gateway’s specialist HR adviser will be on hand to offer free expert advice.

You will also have the opportunity to book a further one-to-one appointment.

Start Up Awareness - October 1, Arbroath - This workshop aims to make you aware of what you must do when setting up a business. This includes issues such as what to register your business as, whether you should register for VAT and many other considerations you must take into account when setting up a new business.

Online Marketing - October 2, Montrose - Getting your business noticed is something that can help boost your profit, but how do you do it? With digital marketing now playing such a huge role, this workshop will show you how to use the tools you may already have at your fingertips to get the best out of your business online.
