Care work scheme to benefit youth

A SCHEME to help young people find employment in care provision is recruiting now.

Balhousie Care Group and The Prince’s Trust, working in partnership on the ‘Get Into Care’ programme is offering 12 young people in Angus and Tayside a place on a six week training course in October, a work placement, CV and interview skills and recognised accreditation. Balhousie has also guaranteed all 12 participants an interview for a care assistant’s position upon completion of the course.

Tricia Stewart, human resources director at Balhousie Care Group, said: “We are pleased to be working with The Prince’s Trust to run another ‘Get Into Care’ programme. All nine graduates from the first scheme have been working with Balhousie Care Group, which is testament to its success.”
