CHECKS on door supervisors working at nightspots in Broughty Ferry took place last Friday evening.
All those inspected held a valid Security Industry Authority licence.
Officers from Tayside Police, who were joined by SIA investigators, led the operation to visit six venues in the area and they checked the licences of seven door supervisors.
The aim of the operation was to ensure that door staff and those deploying them were operating legally.
Security Industry Authority head of investigation Sharon Robert said: “Door supervisors have an important role to play in helping to maintain public safety so I am pleased with these results.”
By law, all door supervisors must hold and display a valid SIA licence. A non-front line licence is required for those who manage, supervise and/or employ individuals who engage in licensable activity, as long as front line activity is not carried out.
