ANGUS South MSP Graeme Dey has congratulated three groups in his constituency on their success in obtaining grants from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All funding scheme.
St Mary’s Scottish Episcopal Church and Abbey Bowling Club in Arbroath, and the Monifieth Centre Steering Group have received a total of £21,500 to help with their work in their respective communities.
Mr Dey said: “I congratulate all three groups on their successful bids for Awards for All funding which will see a massive injection of cash help to carry out a range of activities for each organisation.
“The Big Lottery Fund regularly provide community groups across the country with much needed grants, which often can prove a vital lifeline to their work in the local area.”
He went on: “St. Mary’s Scottish Episcopal Church, Abbey Bowling Club and Monifieth Centre Steering Group are all very worthy recipients of lottery funding and I am sure it will go a long way to help with their respective activities.
“Organisations who would find a grant useful for their work, particularly given the present economic circumstances, should certainly consider applying to the Big Lottery Fund.
“More information on the different schemes on offer can be found through their website.”
