SUBSTANTIAL repairs are to be carried out to a block of luxury flats sited on the harbour front in Broughty Ferry.
The building was completed just over five years ago.
The ‘tower’ of full height semi-circular windows which is the striking feature of the £1.75 million Harbour View development in Beach Crescent is being replaced following years of complaints by residents of water ingress.
The development was built on the site of the former Broughty Ferry Ex-Servicemen’s Club by developer Camperdown Construction which went into receivership in 2007.
The cost of the remedial work will be borne by the National House-Building Council guarantee scheme.
Boarding has been installed inside some of the flats to partition off the windows in preparation for their replacement. The new glass is being specially created by a firm in Newcastle.
