A MEMBER of Carnoustie Cubs, 10-year-old Caitlyn Devlin, recently organised and held a charity movie night, in aid of Carnoustie First Responders.

She arranged everything herself and visited local businesses seeking donations so that she could hold a raffle.

A total of 32 prizes were donated by generous local business people. Caitlyn’s event was a great success and the sale of refreshments, the raffle and ticket sales raised £167.80.

Bill Spence of St John’s Angus and Dundee, came along to her Cub Pack meeting where he was presented with a cheque for £168.80 by Caitlyn and her fellow Cubs. He also showed the youngsters how a defibrillator works, by demonstrating the defibrillator in action on a training dummy.
