Carnoustie Canine Capers have been busy lately educating people on the importance of responsible dog ownership and raising their profile.

On Saturday (May 16) they ran a stall at the opening of Carnoustie’s new skatepark where they were joined by John Ure, an independent fund-raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and of course his lovely black Labrador puppy.

Despite the poor weather the stall was well visited, but as nobody guessed the number of treats in the jar or the puppy’s birthday these competitions will be carried over to their next event in Easthaven on June 27.

Dog training classes at the Village Green are progressing well, with only one session rained off. Anyone interested in attending should call Margaret Hudson on 01241 828979 or 0792255100. If you are running late for class could you please park outside the green to avoid any ‘escapees’ making a dash for it while the gates are open!

At the recent Carnoustie Centre Action group annual general meeting Carnoustie Canine Capers thanked the group for the use of the Village Green.
