Carnoustie Panmure Youth FC have hit out at the apparent epidemic of dog fouling which has been blighting their matches.

The problem came to a head yesterday (Sunday) when club coaches, appalled at the quantity of dog fouling on the pitch at Pitskelly, marked the faeces with coloured cones, took a picture and then published it on Facebook to demonstrate the extent of the problem.

Coaches for the Under 9s squad identified at least a dozen poos on the seven aside pitch prior to their game against Montrose yesterday.

Secretary for Carnoustie Panmure FC Youth spoke out about the issue which has become a recurring problem at Pitskelly and other parks in the town.

He said: “This is happening every week and most days before we start training and before starting a match we’re going round picking up all the dog poo.

“The coaches have had enough and they marked them all off with cones.
“The thing that really annoys us is people walking their dogs while we are setting up the goal posts and they are still letting their dogs foul.”
