Celebrate at your library

Local libraries are getting ready to celebrate the third National Libraries Day tomorrow (Saturday).

Building upon last year’s project, all libraries are inviting people to get involved by having their picture taken to show just what they did in their library.

However, for those who are a little camera shy, Angus libraries are also creating a wall of words on which users can express what their library means to them and why they love their library.

A spokesperson for Angus libraries said: “As well as lending books, libraries in Angus are very social places with Bookbug sessions, Chatterbooks groups for children and reading and reminiscence groups for adults.

“They also provide community and tourist information, IT centres with free internet access, computer training and iPad classes and so much more.”

Contact your local library for more details or visit www.angus.gov.uk/anguslibraries to find out why you could fall in with love your library.
