MRS ANNIE Kerr, who spent her working life in Carnoustie, celebrated her 100th birthday on January 8 with family members at Pitcairngreen village hall, Perth.
She was born at South Mains of Eassie and attended Inverkeilor School before going to work in service in the area.
She married William Kerr in 1930 and they moved to live in the Arbroath area.
They came to Carnoustie in 1953; firstly to Carnoustie Golf Links where Will was greenkeeper before moving to Thomas Street where they stayed for 42 years.
Annie was often seen on her bike going to work as a housekeeper to Mr Stanley Rae at The Retreat, Barry, where she worked for 35 years before retiring in 1992.
She has one daughter, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
