A LEADING charity is looking for local daredevils keen to experience a new thrill as well as to boost its fund-raising programme.

Children Today is offering skydives in return for a minimum level of sponsorship, depending on which kind of jump is selected.

There are three different types of jump, with a maximum jump height of 10,000 feet to present the ultimate challenge; tandem, static line or accelerated freefall. With jumps taking place every weekend next year across the country, there will be a choice of event to fit around even the busiest lifestyle.

Founded in 1994, Children Today helps disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 enjoy a better quality of life by providing them with the specialised equipment they need to take part in activities that many may take for granted.

Ceri Ward, Children Today fundraiser, said: “We’re looking for all you adrenaline junkies out there who are looking to do something fantastic and at the same time raise lots of money for Children Today.”

The charity relies entirely on voluntary donations and further details are available by contacting Ceri Ward on 01244 335622 or e-mailing ceri@childrentoday.org.uk.
