Choir returns to St Anne’s

CARNOUSTIE Choir is promising a varied and interesting selection of music for their concert next week.

On Tuesday, March 19, at St Anne’s Church, Thomas Street, the choir will be joined by members of Con Fuoco Brass continuing their long association with talented young brass players in Carnoustie.

The choir members have put together a programme of music which covers everything from Handel to Verdi with a liberal dose of contrasting numbers such as ‘Chatanooga Choo Choo’ and ‘Hail Caledonia’.

The young musicians of Con Fuoco Brass also have a pleasingly diverse range of tunes on offer, from ‘Spanish Flea’ to the Muppets.

The fun begins at 7.30 p.m., and as always Stewart Fyffe will lead the choir and accompanist for the evening will be Sheena Guthrie.

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children, and are available from choir members and at the door on the night.
