A CHARITY determined to fulfil the dying wish of scores of people this Christmas is reaching out to Guide & Gazette readers.
Marie Curie Cancer Care, which provides free professional nursing care to the terminally ill, urgently needs to rally a small troop of volunteers for a fund-raising event at Dundee’s Christmas Light Night celebration tonight (Friday).
The national charity is looking for adults to give just one hour of their time, collecting donations from families attending the City of Discovery’s annual festive celebration in the City Square and surrounding streets.
Monies raised from the can collection will directly benefit families in the local area who desperately need help to provide care for a loved one in their last days at home.
Petra McMillan, a patron for Marie Curie, says volunteers who give their time will be donating a priceless gift to families in need this festive season.
Anyone interested in supporting the charity can contact Petra on 01241 852506 or 07717 810365.
