Christmas joy for befrienders

At Monifieth Befrienders Scheme’s Christmas meal in the Monifieth Golf Club last week a donation of £250 was made by Monifieth and District Rotary Club to buy members Christmas gifts.

Monifieth Befriending Scheme held its annual Christmas meal last week in Monifieth Golf Club.

A total of 65 clients and volunteers attended and a wonderful time was had by all.

Monifieth and District Rotary Club gave the society a donation of £250 to go towards buying Christmas gifts and also helped with transport for the meal. The members were delighted by their kindness.

Monifieth Befriending Scheme is a registered charity providing a befriending service on a one-to-one basis to lonely older people living in Monifieth. They also hold regular social events throughout the year, such as the Christmas meal, for clients and volunteers.
