It looks like Carnoustie Musical Society has all the ingredients for a delicious show next month.
Their production of ‘The Reunion’ will be a Scottish premiere and the cast were getting into character for one of their numbers, the delightfully decadent ‘Joys Of Baking’, a most amusing and innuendo-filled homage to the raunchier side of baked goods.
Carnoustie Musical Society promise a laugh out loud experience at ‘The Reunion’ which runs at Carnoustie High School theatre from March 10 to 13.
Joanna Fitzgerald is really getting her teeth into the part of Miss Jolly, the sweetly innocent teacher who specialises in accidental innuendo. She said: “Because this is a brand new show the dialogue is fresh and realistic and the one-liners just crackle!
“There’s humour at every turn in ‘The Reunion’, from the jokes to the songs and everything in between.
“One of my favourites is ‘The Joys Of Baking’, which in the tradition of good British innuendo might be about something else entirely!”
‘The Reunion’ is a tale of love and redemption with a strong streak of comedy running through it.
It tells the story of a group of school friends who catch up at the funeral of a beloved teacher and the opportunities it gives them to try and put right their lives and loves.
