Courtney braves a chill to save for cancer

Inspired by her fund raising friend Courtney Robb a pupil at Arbroath Academy, set herself the daunting challenge of shaving her head in aid of Breast Cancer on Sunday.

“It’s something she’s wanted to do for a while,” said Courtney’s mum Wendy Robb.

“Her friend John does a lot of charity work and she settled on this as her first fund raising activity.”

Planned to lose her locks publically in Victoria Park, the weather forced them indoors to the Commercial Inn.

“I am so very proud of her. She didn’t even shed a tear. She’s so proud of her new look.

“Courtney’s dad and I would like to say a huge thank you to David McIntosh for coming along and doing the pictures for us and to The Commercial Inn for letting us use their premises at such short notice.

“We would also like to say thank you to Marie Coutts for helping Courtney in every way possible and for making this day happen and also a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported Courtney through this.”
