Christmas is fast approaching and the Meffan Museum & Art Gallery in Forfar is holding a children’s Christmas craft workshop on Saturday, December 13.

Children can enjoy some festive fun making a variety of goodies, including penguin and gingerbread men, Christmas tree decorations, baubles and Christmas cards.

While in the museum, children and parents can view the Meffan Winter Exhibition of artwork by amateur and professional artists.

The exhibition is proving popular with visitors to the Forfar gallery.

This annual open exhibition attracts entries from talented professional and amateur artists from all over Scotland.

The exhibition fills two galleries and features a wide range of exceptional artworks in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, fine art prints and sculpture.

Places on the workshop are limited so booking is essential and will cost £1 per child.

Anyone can book by contacting Meffan staff, either by sending an email to or by phoning 01307 476482.

The workshop will run from 10 to 11.30 a.m.
