65-year-old dies in A90 crash


A man has died following an accident last night (Wednesday) on the A90, around two miles south of Brechin

Emergency services were called to the incident, which involved a Skoda motor car and a lorry, at about 6.20pm.

Sadly, the 65-year-old male driver of the Skoda died at the scene.

The 30-year-old female passenger in the Skoda and the lorry driver were uninjured.

The road was closed until 1am as Police officers carried out a full investigation.

The driver of the Skoda will not be named until the formal identification has taken place.

Tayside Division Officers appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any Police Officer.

Once enquiries are complete a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
