Appeal for witnesses after Broughty theft

TAYSIDE Police is appealing for witnesses following two incidents in Broughty Ferry in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Officers are making enquiries into a break-in to the Co-operative supermarket in Lawers Drive that happened sometime around 5 a.m., when a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol were stolen. Enquiries are also being made into an attempted break-in that happened in the early hours of this morning at Tesco Express in Dalhousie Road. However, no items were stolen in this incident.

Police are keen to trace two men who were seen in the area of Dalhousie Road around the time of these incidents. One is described as being of heavy build, wearing a dark-coloured top with a white hood and dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms. The other man is described as being of slim build, and was wearing a red hooded top and dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Officers also appeal for witnesses who may have seen or heard a dark-coloured motorbike in the area.
