Attempted Broughty Ferry break-in disturbed by occupier

Police suspect a man of trying to break into a property on Gray Street, near Fisher Street, Broughty Ferry last night (Thursday).

A male climbed onto the roof of a neighbouring property and entered a first floor flat at 10.30 p.m. on Thursday night. He gained access through an open window before being disturbed by the occupier.

Described as being white European, 5’10” tall, thin build and wearing a plain white T-shirt.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: β€œOn this occasion nothing was stolen however Police Scotland wish to draw householders attention to this mode of entry and take all precautions to prevent opportunistic crime.”
