Disclosure reminder for licence holders

ANGUS licence holders are being reminded that they must notify the licensing authority of changes in their circumstances.

Speaking following last Wednesday’s meeting of Angus Licensing Board, where a licence holder’s undisclosed conviction came to light, the board convener councillor John Whyte said: “It is the licensees’ responsibility to advise the licensing authority, in this case Angus Licensing Board, of any relevant changes in their circumstances.

“Most specifically they are obliged under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 to inform us of any convictions, and changes of name and/or address.”
