Man assaulted in Broughty Ferry

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a 46-year-old male was assaulted in Brook Street, Broughty Ferry, on Friday.

The victim was walking between The Royal Arch Public House and Tesco Metro at about 9.45 p.m. when he was approached by another man in his 40s wearing a black leather jacket who assaulted him and knocked him to the ground. As a result of the assault the victim suffered a broken arm.

It is believed that several members of the public attempted to restrain the perpetrator prior to him leaving the scene.
