Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a break-in and theft in Broughty Ferry.

The incident happened at an address in Grove Road, at around 9.40pm on Wednesday, March 9.

A man entered the building and a number of items, including a mobile phone, bank cards, a double-figure sum of cash, cigarettes and a purse were taken.

The suspect is described as white, aged 25 to 30, of slim build with shaved, dark hair.

At the time he was wearing a blue top with an E17 logo on the back and blue jeans.

Sergeant Andrew Thompson said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious before and after this incident as they might have information that could help with our enquiries.

“In addition, anyone who was driving in the area at the time and could have dash-cam footage that would assist with our investigation, should also get in touch.”
