TAYSIDE Police is urging local people to ‘Ditch the Dealer’ as part of their fight against drug related crime.

The force say they are continually committed to cracking crime involving drugs and that the community task force will be leading the way in the coming days.

Police say the task force will be distributing leaflets entitled ‘Ditch the Dealer’ and will also be making the public aware that they can pass on information regarding drugs confidentially.

Concerned members of the public can contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously and provide details of drug dealers and drugs users in their area, as well as any other criminal activity they may wish to report.

Furthermore, the leaflets contain a form that can be completed anonymously and posted back to the police.

All the information provided is carefully researched and allows the police to focus not only on individuals and their associates, but also the other areas of crime they may be involved in.

Anyone who has information on drug dealing should get in touch with Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222, or any police officer.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
